Amdocs and Microsoft continue collaboration to develop edge, IoT use cases

Communications software provider Amdocs has revealed new use cases put together in concert with Microsoft around how private networks, edge computing solutions, and the Internet of Things (IoT) ‘can come together for a better digital society.’

The two offerings are Amdocs solutions built on Microsoft Azure’s private MEC (multi-access edge compute) and Azure Private 5G core, and developed in Microsoft’s Americas 5G Experience Lab in Dallas.

Kyndryl and Nokia expand private wireless Industry 4.0 partnership

IT infrastructure company Kyndryl has expanded its partnership with Nokia as part of a three-year agreement to develop and innovate LTE and 5G private wireless services for Industry 4.0.

Verizon chunks off 10% stake in Casa Systems to bolster MEC options

Telco giant Verizon has inked a deal to acquire a 9.9% stake in mobile infrastructure company Casa Systems for $40 million (£30.8m) as part of a multi-year purchase contract.
