Edge infrastructure firm Sunlight.io has partnered with edge security specialist Edgelabs.ai to bring enterprises a “comprehensive” edge solution designed with scalability and security in mind.
The joint offering takes advantage of Edgelabs.ai’s AI-powered edge security solutions alongside Sunlight’s HyperConverged infrastructure platform for applications running at the edge.
Inna Ushakova, CEO of EdgeLabs.ai, said: “We are excited to partner with Sunlight.io to offer organizations a next-generation edge security solution enabling AI and automation, essential to defending an expanding edge/IoT attack surface and responding to the massive increase in security events, which humans and traditional solutions cannot address.”
According to Sunlight.io, the partnership will provide improved data quality and advanced threat detection for its customers. Data is processed on-prem and without delay, giving access to real-time data that allows for smarter decision-making.
It added that the partnership will help organisations looking to take advantage of the benefits of the edge with the peace of mind of a fully protected environment.
Tom Flink, recently appointed CEO of Sunlight.io, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Edgelabs.ai to provide an integrated solution that enhances the security of Sunlight HyperConverged Edge infrastructure. Edgelabs.ai autonomous cybersecurity AI is deployed as a solution in the Sunlight AppLibrary, and can easily protect 100s to 1000s of edge clusters at the click of a button.”
Sunlight.io recently entered into a reseller agreement with Lenovo to expand the multinational tech company’s portfolio of edge solutions.
The agreement should be seen as a major boost for Sunlight.io in terms of sales and publicity, given Lenovo’s position as the world’s fourth largest server vendor by revenue.
