Telefónica Tech, the digital business unit of Spain’s leading telecoms provider, is integrating the software services of Netskope into its security portfolio.

The partnership will enable Telefónica to bolster its end-to-end security and management capabilities, providing enterprise customers with secure cloud data access to support their digital transformation processes.

Francisco Ginel, global service integrators channel director for Southern Europe at Netskope, said: “This agreement perfectly fits into Telefónica Tech’s strategy of consolidating cloud environments and cybersecurity.

“Netskope Security Cloud delivers security services meant to protect users, applications, and data wherever they are. Our security portfolio acquires an extraordinary value when combined with the experience, management and operation capabilities of a partner such as Telefónica Tech.”

As part of the agreement, Telefónica will oversee the integration of Netskope’s services, which will then be marketed across the Europena Union, the Americas, and the UK.

Thanks to Telefónica’s distributed network of operations centres, Netskope’s services will be managed on a global scale with support from industry experts in the technologies being used.

The combination of SD-WAN from Netskope with Telefónica’s Security Edge gives enterprise clients access to a simple and fast converged SASE service.

One of Netskope’s solutions, Netskope NewEdge, is a private cloud with real-time security services built in from the company’s secure cloud.

This allows the company to deploy enhanced security at a given edge network. Telefónica plans to connect directly to Netskope NewEdge to increase the security capabilites that it can offer enterprises adopting edge solutions.

“Netskope’s vision of zero trust application access control and data protection provides customers with advanced protection that natively adapts to new digital work models and the consumption of corporate applications in hybrid environments,” said Alberto Sempere, director of cybersecurity products and technology at Telefónica Tech.
